Busy- the word of the month!

Busy! Yes that has been us this January, I guess it really started in December and it hasn't really stopped since. My parents were in town after we got back from New Hampshire, we went to Nebraska for four days, Todd and Steph came to town and then last week was the PRO GREEN EXPO in Denver so we were up at 5am and not back home until 5pm or 6pm. Libby and Peter came to visit this last weekend and my parents will be here this coming weekend. Oh well I guess I would rather be busy than bored!

I am going to post pictures from when Todd and Steph were here, Thanks to Steph for taking the pictures, since I forgot my camera! That weekend started with a good late lunch at CB & Potts, with Todd, Steph, Ange(Todd's Brother), Todd's friend Justin and Ocho. Next was a trip to the CSU book store to load up on apparel for Jack, Zak and I bought some for Laynie as well! We then tried to go to one of the breweries to do a little tour but no luck as one was closed and the others were too busy so Old C's it was. I short brake to run home and feed the mutts, and pick up Shawnelle, and we were back. Dinner was at Stonehouse Grille which is one or our old town favs and as you will see from pictures it was off to the Town Pump for Atomic Cherries, which are soaked in alcohol and not all that tasty. I actually spit one of mine out! Ocho, Zak and I took Shawnelle to Tony's next for an OB1 the most delicious drink ever. We all had to meet at The Drunken' Monkey for Dan Barnes going away party but didn't stay very long as it was too busy and full or Weird people ;)Once again you will see from pictures but we went to Lucky Joe's where everyone has to play with there peanuts, hehe! A fun time was had by all and at breakfast the next morning it was felt by all!! Thanks Todd and Steph for a great time with your fellow "old married farts"

On Friday night Zak and I met up with Tommy and Katie at their house Firestone and drove to Longmont where we met Neon and Matt for dinner at The Pumphouse. Good food, Good times, Thanks for that guys! Saturday Zak and I met Peter and Libby for a late lunch at Rock Bottom Brewery after a few beers Peter and Zak went back to the house to work on the ever dreaded taxes for Zak's business and Libby and I went to a night of scrapbooking from 5pm to midnight! Thanks to the George's #1 for a great weekend full or beer, scrapbooking, taxes and food!

On another note, I have booked at ticket to visit my cousin Tony in L.A. with my cousin, his sister, Stephanie in March. We decided it will be a Happy 25th birthday trip for the both of us. I am really excited and I am hoping we can make a day trip to Disneyland if at all possible! Who knows I am really just along for the ride. Don't feel sorry for Zak either, he isn't getting left, him and The Ocho are going to Vegas right before I get back on a "Business" trip!!!

Weekend In Nebraska

This last weekend Zak, myself and our three children loaded up the Mallow and drove to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit Matt and Sandra. Yes that's right I said three dogs, none of them very small, Big Zak and me in the Mallow. Zak's idea because it saved on gas, he is right of course it saved on gas but we sacrificed our comfort for it! You may or may not know what its like to get Zak to be anywhere on time, let's just say it's like pulling teeth, and this was no exception. The plan was to leave on Wednesday afternoon, Zak said I will be back to the office around 2:30 we will run our errands, pack the car and leave. Well, Zak got home around 3:30 we ran our errands and made it home around 4:30, which is the original time we wanted to leave. Zak stood in the kitchen, singing loudly while banging his hands on the counters, while I made sure we had everything for clothes and toiletries we would need for the weekend. Zak packed the car, I feed the dogs and it was about 5pm I thought great we might actually get out of here soon...NOT. Of course Zak had to change, eat dinner and do something else that was probably a waste of time, so it wasn't until 6pm that we left, oh well! So we get going and are making GREAT time we about 50 miles from Kearney, NE and hit a nasty snow storm, I will just say it was the longest 50 miles of my life. Anyways we finally made it to Lincoln at around 3 am, sorry to Sandra for having to work the next morning at 9. We had a really fun weekend with going to a good Mexican food restaurant, a really cool martini bar and a great steak house for Matt's Company Christmas, after Christmas party! Thanks for a good time guys, here are a few pictures.

I love the above photo because Zak looks highly intoxicated....even though he wasn't

Happy New Year!

2007 has come to an end, what a great year! I became an Aunt, a Godmother and Mrs. George. We had the best time in Florida and hope everyone who joined us did too, thanks for being there to share our special day! Last year on New Years Eve I had a really bad cold so Zak and I decided to stay home, we played video games and hung out at the house so this year we decided to keep up with the tradition. My parents came up from Colorado Springs and we played a good couple of games of racket ball. Mom thought she could kick our butts....you can guess the outcome of it though! We decided to go to JJ's, which for those of you that don't know what JJ's is I will just say that the less teeth you have the cooler you are there! It has really good food and they do $5 burger and a beer on Monday's...well it was Monday! The Ocho and Jolene joined us and we drank a few beers and ate burgers, we might have had a few too many beers:)Good thing you can throw a rock from JJ's to our house, so we walked home. Before midnight Dad and I made our traditional Black eyed peas so they would be ready for lunch the next day. It was a fun night and a struggle for Mom and Dad to stay awake until midnight, but they did! New Years Day we ate lunch and played UNO and a short game of NASCAR Monopoly. I won UNO three times in a row, of course Zak was a sad sally about it, and mom kicked every ones butt in Monopoly. It was a good time, here are a few pictures!
