Brown's Lake Hike

Since, Zak had to work all day on Saturday we decided to take a hike today to get away from work for awhile. So we went up the Poudre and took a 6 mile hike to Brown's Lake. It was a perfect day for a hike, not to hot with a little breeze! Of course we took our kids and they did very well, Zeus even carried his pack for the first time! I would be a liar if I told you it was easy, it was very difficult seeing as it has been a few years(okay probably over 5) since I have gone on a hike like that. It was totally worth it in the end, so we are having a little trouble walking around the house this eveing and I'm sure it will be worse in the morning, but worth the pain! Here are a few pictures and a video! (Just for the record, for a better look at the pictures you can click on them and they will blow up, Thanks)

Zak treats me so good, he bought me a camel back

Zak, Chuy and Sayd at the beginning of the hike, there was still a TON of snow up there. Needless to say my feet were completely soaked in the first 30 minutes and remained that way until just about 15 mintues ago. Zak and I jokingly said we should have worn our snow boots!

Molly was hot so she took a rest in the snow!

Father's Day Weekend!!

For Father's Day weekend Zak and I decided to go camping, yes we are horrible and didn't spend the weekend with our Father's....Sorry DAD'S we Love you both very much, hope it was a great weekend!!! Zak, Ocho and myself with our 4 children decided to go up to the Red Feather Lakes Area for the weekend. We left on Friday afternoon early from work to get there before dark, which I might add was like pulling teeth. Once we got there it turns out Ocho and Zak hadn't quite communicated as well as they should have and Ocho ended up going up the Poudre while Zak and I waited in Red Feather. Luckily, Ocho has good cell phone service and we found a pay phone and worked things out! I set-up the camp site and Zak went back to meet up with Ocho. The weekend was filled with dirt, water, beer and campfires with of course a lot of fun times! I finally got to shoot my new gun, we tried to do some fishing and also did a little 4-Wheeling. I think the dogs had more fun than we did with all of the running, exploring and swimming! I have a couple a Videos I will post of the pups swimming and of us 4-wheeling. It was a great weekend that allowed us to relax, have some fun, catch up on sleep and acquired some new nicknames!!!! Hurray for Summer!!!

Zeus is loving life with his ball, the water and no leash!

All the kids waiting for Zak to throw the ball
