Tornado Pictures

Pictures of the tornado in Windsor that killed one and made about 100 homes completely unlivable... you can click on the pictures to make them larger. One of these pictures is of the daycare in Windsor....NOBODY was injured or died there and the tornado went right threw it.

Vegas Surprise...

For Zak's 28th Birthday I found online, presale only with a special password, ticket to go see our favorite comedian Dane Cook!! So I decided what the heck why not make a weekend trip to Las Vegas, I never really got to see the city when we were there last time. So I booked flights, tickets and hotel without telling him and surprised him on his birthday. I very glad that he had no idea where we were going and was just as excited as I was...so we were off to Vegas for a few days!

As many of you know there was a tornado just a few miles south and east of our house in Fort Collins, well that was the day that we were supposed to leave on a plane for our trip, needless to say we just missed it(as we took off from Fort Collins-Loveland Airport) and got to see the aftermath on CNN. I do have pictures of this and will post them once I am done. Anyways, getting to Vegas was quite the ordeal and we ended up being delayed 2 and a half hours, but once we got there it really didn't make a difference. We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of things while we where there. Not to mention Dane Cook and Cirque de Soleil!!! Here are the pictures.

The Wax Museum: me with Britney Spears

Zak and his LAME Idol

Zak who??? So I married George Clooney....What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!!

Zak saw my twin sister Jenna Jameson!

Hef was talking Dirty to me!

We went to this really bar in Treasure Island while we were waiting for Cirque to start, all of the bartenders were world famous and had been seen on the food network and stuff, it was a really fun bar...not to mention the free shots!

One of our days was spent walking around checking out the town, we went to the Bellagio to see the Botanical Garden. It was so awesome to see the things growing in there and really being able to appreciate the time and effort that went into it all. the next picture is moss that they had growing out of pieces of lattice, which made it look "checkered". There were little water trails that ran through it and jumped from place to place.

The next one is a miniature replica of the Bellagio itself, complete with fountains in the front, of course I couldn't get the picture with the fountains just perfect!

THE DANE TRAIN himself!!! this is how good our seats were!!!

Us before the show...

and again

We decided to spend the money and take the Gondola ride at the Venetian, it was pretty cool, I have video of our guy signing to us that I will try and post later.

We spent our first afternoon and evening in Downtown Las Vegas which was one of the main things on my list of things to do. We had an AWESOME meal of sushi at this really cool Brewery called Triple 7 Brewery, sushi at a brewery was a little weird at first but it was the best I have ever had. Then we walked around and saw all the old casinos and waited for the light show above us that is what the picture below is.

Don't worry Carl and I had "safe-sax"

It was a fun and we enjoyed ourselves a lot!!!

WE DID IT!!!!

Well, we did it!! It was a long road but we are proud of ourselves for not giving up. (If you are confused at this point, read the posting before this one first) I learned a few things about myself, my wonderful husband and others;)I learned that I really can do whatever I put my mind to, which brought me to the realization that I WANT to finish school. I have really contemplated this subject for the past few years, especially the last 5 months since I took the semester off. I always said I didn't need to finish with Zak's business and where I am at in my life. Zak insists that I get my degree, must be a George thing ;). Okay so of course my mother wants me to also! Even though she always acts tough, she did the same thing I did, she got married and took a year off. So even though it will be hard and the business will have to hire another receptionist for while I am in school, I CAN DO IT!! I also learned alcohol is expensive. Zak and I saved a lot of money this month, which is AWESOME...since we have a surprise trip coming up!! Another thing I realized is how much my husband loves me and his family (the furry ones too)! He works so hard to make sure we have a roof over our heads, food on the table and always makes me feel safe. He may be a little scatter brained and going a 1,000 miles an hour 24 hours a day,7 days a week but damn it one thing will always be the same. We love eachother!!! (Okay enough with the mushy stuff) A lot of people second guessed or questioned our 30 days of sobriety for whatever reason, but it was something that we wanted to do and did. We are now walking away from April with our shoulders back and heads held high. The last thing I learned is that I hate when people don't comment on other peoples blogs ;) All I have left to say is, CHEERS BIG EARS!!!

No Fool's this April!

It's April, can you believe it? I know Zak and I not only can't believe it but are ready to get to work! All though it feels like we really never recovered from last years craziness, we are excited at the chance to better our business yet again. Zak and Ocho have implemented a lot of things to help better the efficiency of the company. We have also hired another Matt to kick the lawn maintenance division into gear.I know what you are thinking another Matt how do you keep them all straight? Don't worry he very quickly earned the nickname of Patch, which is short for patchouli, as he is some what of a hippie!! So all and all things seem to be starting off great for us, if we can just get the weather to be consistent it would be fantastic...living in Colorado I just don't see the weather ever being consistent so we will just push through it!

In other news, Zak and I decided that during the month of April we would be taking a ride on the sober train. That's right people, no drinking for 30 days!! We are doing it to prove we don't need alcohol to have fun, and also since alcoholism seems to run in both of our families it is better to be safe than sorry. It is something we tried to get a few other people to join in on with no luck, but it is for a very serious reason, make fun all you want!! Zak has said he will drink a beer on the 10th since it is Matt the Ocho's birthday,(One Beer as in 10-15) I think I'm going to go for the full 30. Don't I sound so tough it is only the 2nd people, just ask me in a few weeks how it is going!! I would be lying if I said it was easy, because its not. The part that is funny too me is that many times in my life I have just chosen not to drink for whatever reason, but the past two days have been a real eye opener. I would never say that Zak and I are alcoholics, that would be pushing it, but we do have a few beers at dinner and more than a few on the weekends...it just hits at how much you don't think about opening the refrigerator and grabbing that frosty beverage! It for sure is going to be a long journey, but I think I will come out the other end a stronger person!! 2 days down 28 to go,Wish us luck and oh by the way Happy Easter!!!!

L.A. Trip!!

Here are just a few of many(Many as in 150) photos from the trip to LA with my cousin's. It was a lot of fun in a few short days! Thanks to Rae and Tony once again for being our chauffeurs and showing us around the town, we couldn't have done it without you. It was nice to finally meet you Rae!! We did all of the tourist things, walk of fame, HOLLYWOOD sign, Grauman's Chinese theatre, and the beaches (Santa Monica and Manhattan) We drove Tony's car, Thanks again Tony, with the help of the Garmin navigator guy Daniel. We went to a GREAT restaurant Asia De Cuba and a fun bar in Santa Monica for St. Patrick's day, with a stop at a brewery in Manhattan beach to have a green beer and get a glass for Zak's collection.I forgot we went to Pasadena and ate at
a really cool Mexican place and visited the rotating bar in our hotel, with a souvenir mug to go with it!

Steph and I at the theatre!

Look what I found....actually I think Steph did!

Cool view of Kodak theatre area and HOLLYWOOD sign in the back

Me and Mickey Mouse's star, I heart him!!

All dressed up for our dinner!

Sunset Blvd at Sunset, SO pretty. The restaurant that we ate dinner at was on Sunset, it was inside the Mondrian Hotel. It was a really awesome atmosphere inside with a lot of white on white and of course I don't have any photos. Really cool we heard Kate Walsh was there....well there last week not when we were:)http://www.mondrianhotel.com/mondrian_hotel_asiadecuba.asp

Fred's Mexican in Pasadena

These are some pictures from Santa Monica Beach, it looks really pretty all though it was REALLY cold, Steph braved it without her jacket and as you can see it was windy. Also I picture of the beach from the pier.

Okay here are a few pictures from St Patrick's Day, Tony took us to a fantastic Sushi place for lunch and then mochi balls for dessert or Pinkberry for Jess but, most part of the day was spent at Manhattan Beach and back in Santa Monica for the party. I had been looking for a brewery the entire time we were there so that I could drink a beer and get a class for Zak's pint glass collection (which we are going to have to build an addition onto our house for :))Finally I found one while Jess was shopping! Stephanie and I drove from Manhattan beach to Santa Monica to go to O'Brien's Irish pup, well Tony or Rae had put the address into the Garmin so that we would be able to find it, we followed it paid the valet guy 10 bucks and then paid the guy at the front door $20, which I said was weird because Rae said it was only ten. We get in the bar and Rae is NOWHERE to be found, after a phone call we discover we were at the wrong O'Brien's Pup....we finally found the right place and all was settled over a frosty beverage, or two!

O'Brien's,the one on Main Street that is ;)

Famous guy we met at O'Brien's, seriously Google him Brad Horne

It was so much fun and we are already starting to plan our next girl trip we are thinking New York or maybe Vegas, I think everyone should definitely make a trip to Colorado for sure! Thanks again to Tony and Rae. Of course thanks to Jessica and Stephanie for making my first girls trip a blast! Hope to see you again soon!

There are so many more pictures if you want to see leave me a comment and I can email you the link to them!

Birthday Weekend!!!

All I can say is this was a very eventful weekend/birthday! Matt and Sandra came to town for the celebration on Thursday night and that kicked off the events! I will just start by saying 25 has been a little hard for me to swallow, so thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate you really pushed a lot of thoughts out of my mind!
Friday started with breakfast, minus Zak, a little shopping and then Sandra colored my hair! Looks awesome, as you will be able to tell from pictures, Thanks Sandra!! We then decided to do a little Brewery Tour and I was going to take some pictures but forgot my battery to camera. After the New Belgium and Fort Collins Brewery stops we went to JJ's Lounge for some good ole' redneck fun...no offense to anyone! Here are a few pictures from that. Well I guess technically they are from before and after JJ's

Matt and Zak in the kitchen and Sandra and I before JJ's

Saturday was a beautiful day in Fort Collins, 73 degrees to be exact, so of course we spent the day shopping in Loveland at Centerra, which is an outdoor mall and outlets stores with lunch at Rock Bottom Brewery.Of course I didn't take any pictures of this because it would have been boring. After shopping it was time to let the party begin! Matt, Sandra, Ocho, Shawnelle, Jolene, Jeff, Lynn, Zak and Myself ended up at Daisy Dukes in Loveland. You will see in a few pictures that the girls dress true to the name!

Jolene and I just like old days!

Okay so I probably should explain the above photos! Since it was my birthday they made me get on the bar with Zak and a couple other birthday folks and pop the glove with Zak on his hands and knees. Thanks to Sandra for taking the great action shots!!

Group shots!(Real mature Ochie!!!)

Okay so next is a picture of Ochie on the bar with the Daisy Duke chick! I can email directions to this bar, if any of you wish to go there!!!

NO, to answer the question a few of you are asking right now!!! LOL

Okay so Sunday was my actual birthday and so of you know the morning was a little rough for me and a few others, so it didn't really feel like my birthday and I was feeling a bit like a Debbie Downer. But, Neon and Matt came up and we went out for dinner at Zak, Matt, Sandra and I's favorite sushi place in Fort Collins, so that helped. Also, Sandra had Zak buy me an ice cream cake(Reese's peanut butter cup no less)to surprise me for my birthday, so that was AWESOME! Here are the pics from that.Oh yeah and a singing candle :)

Also, here is what I got for my birthday from Zak, along with Cadbury cream eggs, Thin Mints Girl Scout cookies and a card.

Matt and Sandra got me a new One Touch can opener,I broke mine two days before, and Sandra did my hair! Pretty cool can opener I recommend them to everyone!!!Neon and Matt got me a coach wristlet that matches my new purse.
Thanks again to everyone who hung out and called me on my birthday, I really appreciate you all so much there are no words that will ever express it!! All and all it turned out to be a weekend of beer, good food and GREAT friends! Love you Guys!!!!
