Easter Weekend!

*
WOW, can you believe it is already the middle of April? I know we can't!! This Easter was a very busy one for us as we had a wedding to attend on Saturday night and since it was a few hours away we decided to stay the night, traveling has never been good on my back and it is only gotten worse since I got pregnant. Not to mention the fact I was sure Zak would indulge in a few adult beverages and I didn't feel like driving home at midnight! So the wedding started at 5pm and my parents and Zak's parents had decided to come up that night in preparations for Easter lunch the next day, they felt sorry for me not being able to do the housework that NEEDS to be done! The dogs appreciated them being there too! Well Libby got sick and called on Saturday to say that would probably not make it up until Sunday morning. So my parents had the house to themselves and threw a wild party??? No, but they did end up going to JJ's (the dive bar across the street from our house) with Ocho! Meanwhile, Zak and I are at the wedding eating good food, GREAT cupcakes, beer for Zak and talking with old friends. We got to chat with Kristen and Chad whom have a 10 month old son named Brock! That was nice and good for Zak since the fatherhood thing is still a bit scary! Keisha and Cody's wedding was SO nice, the decorations and atmosphere were just perfect, not to mention Keisha's dress was just GORGEOUS!

Of course Zak can NEVER be serious so I have multiple pictures of me trying take a nice, cute picture of us for once.

See what I mean?

Finally he decided to cooperate with me!

The next morning we woke up bright and early to make the drive home and I saw the Easter Bunny outside our hotel room window!!!! Okay so it was a little cottontail but it was still a good omen!

The drive home was good and the dogs were happy to see us. Upon returning home we found out that Peter had wrecked his car trying to make the drive up here with Eleanor, as Libby still wasn't feeling up to par. The snow fall in the Black Forest, Monument area was nasty. Which was weird to Zak and I since it was just raining up here! Peter decided it wasn't worth killing himself and Eleanor (Poor Eleanor I'm sure she was very upset) not to mention the damage to the car, which I hear is around $3000! We are glad that they made it back home safely.

Here are a few pictures of the lunch...nothing too exciting

He was hungry!!!

Mom taking a picture of Zak...

This was right after Dad told me he wanted Baby G to call him "My Mother's Father" He said it was a Indian thing so Zak started making up Indian names for him...Some of my favorites were:
"Runs with Scissors"
"Man who makes Sparks"
"Plays with cars"
So there you have it Baby G is going to have to learn a mouth full and we all thought it was funny when it was Big Dog or Grandfather!

Of course nothing is normal about my family so they decided to play with my Dad's Beret and here is what you get from that!

I couldn't resist on the last one....Zak has on the nicest Easter outfit and I really think the cape just adds to it, don't you?

Also, Thanks to my parents again for cleaning up the house, making lunch and for all of Baby G's Easter goodies (and Ours too!!) Baby G really made out this Easter....
